Small Diameter Bored
Severn Bore Piling have recently extended their fleet to include two Soilmec drilling rigs, which when combined with the existing bored minipiling machines have increased the range of techniques that can be offered to provide economic solutions to difficult foundation solutions.
- Difficult access piling and drilling
The new PSM8 rig is small enough to access small working areas, yet versatile enough to provide conventional bored piling together with drilling techniques such as ‘down-the–hole-hammer’ drilling, and permanently cased drilled piles.
- Vibration free
A vital requirement where piling near to sensitive buildings or environments such as hospitals, schools, etc.
- Wide range of diameters available and low headroom capability
The larger PSM16 machine is capable of installing piles up to 600mm in diameter, which when combined with temporary casings and low headroom requirements can install high capacity piles in environments where this has not been possible in the past.
Three types of machine are available
